New Guide Released: How to Create Scripts with AI
08.12.2025Almost all modern internal combustion engines are equipped with an electronic fuel injection system. These include Multi-Point Injection (MPI) and Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) / Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) fuel injection systems. Let’s examine several MPI fuel injection system injectors and their condition after some time in operation. Let’s walks through a practical approach to fuel injector diagnostics—then backs it up with cleaning and verification steps in a new article titled “Fuel injectors testing and cleaning”, where demonstrates a DIY test bench setup using an Injector Reanimator device with Test and Cleaning modes.
What the article provides:
- Signs of clogged injectors, how often clean them and what impact does it have?
- Pictures of fuel injectors before and after cleaning
- Description of Injector Reanimator device
- Influence of tightness (leak-proofness) of the cleaned injectors
Injector Reanimator device allows you to check the performance of injectors and then clean them using a special operating mode. DIY test bench allows you to observe and check the injector performance. Injector Reanimator has two operating modes: Test and Cleaning.
In Test mode, the injector performance is tested. The injectors are supplied with identical control pulses and fuel is supplied at a pressure of approximately 2.5 bar, which depends on the model of the pressure regulator used.
In Cleaning mode, the Injector Reanimator can only operate one injector! In this mode, the software automatically determines the resonant frequency of the injector needle. After “capturing”, it begins to pump the cleaning fluid in the opposite direction. This promotes intense interaction between the chemical cleaner and the contaminants inside the injector.
