Psg200 pressure transducer for diesel engines
Psg200 pressure transducer is designed to obtain pressure graph inside the cylinder of a diesel engine using an oscilloscope or motor tester. It allows you to display on the screen of an oscilloscope a waveform of in-cylinder pressure in the range 0 … + 200 Bar (0 – 2900 psi).
The PSG200 pressure transducer is specifically designed to obtain pressure graphs for the cylinders of a diesel engine using an oscilloscope or motor tester. It allows the display of cylinder pressure signals on the oscilloscope screen within a range of up to +200 bar (0 to 2900 psi).
These waveforms provide valuable data for identifying complex malfunctions in diesel engines. Additionally, they help technicians gain a deeper understanding of the processes occurring within the engine cylinder, enabling faster and more accurate diagnoses.
Using four diesel pressure sensors allows for assessing the performance balance of all cylinders simultaneously.
The obtained pressure graphs contain information about the fuel mixture ignition process, which depends on:
- Engine temperature
- Compression ratio
- Compression
- Fuel atomization quality
- Correct positioning of the injector nozzle in the combustion chamber
- Properly installed copper washer thickness under the injector
The USB Autoscope software allows for the automatic marking of moments when the piston of the diagnosed cylinder is at top dead center (TDC) or bottom dead center (BDC). Additionally, the measurement panel highlights the permissible range of key point positions and sections on the diesel engine cylinder pressure graph.
